Notice of Public Housing Utility Allowances Update

The Housing Authority of the City of Tifton has completed its annual review of the public housing utility allowances and encourages residents to review the proposed utility allowances. Residents may also provide written comments as noted below.

Pursuant to regulation 24 CFR 965.502, the THA hereby provides 30-days notice to its public housing residents of the proposed utility allowances.

DATES AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT: September 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022.

The THA records and documents that provide the basis for the proposed utility allowances are available for review and comment during the dates listed above

Basis of determination: See the attached National Facility Consultants, Inc. (NFC) Executive Summary.

The THA will gather all comments and review them at the close of the comment period. To view the proposed utility allowance please stop by the Tifton Housing Authority Administrative Office located at 1425 N. Tift Avenue, Bldg. 15, Tifton, GA  31793.

PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATE OF IMPLEMENTATION:  January 1, 2023.
