The Elderly Village closed out 2024 with a festive bingo night, prom style! Residents enjoyed an evening of music, dancing, and friendly competition as Johnny Leath was crowned prom king and Sarah Rogers was crowned prom queen. As we step into the new year, we look forward to more moments of joy and community togetherness!
WINTER STORM Southerners received a surprise this January! With a record-breaking winter storm, Tifton received 5 inches of snow according to the National Weather Service. Some southern states had totals that exceeded 10 inches. For many this has been one of the most memorable winters yet!
Tifton Housing Recognitions
At our Christmas 2024 Employee Luncheon, THA proudly honored Mr. Tony "T" Osby for five years of dedication and leadership. Known for his hard work and protective nature, he has faced every challenge with commitment and resilience.
We also celebrated Debra Jackson, Property Assistant, for an incredible 20 years of service. Her kindness, expertise, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our team and residents.
Sheena Washington, Property Manager, marked five years with THA, demonstrating outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence.THA thanks each of you for your incredible dedication and service. Maintenance News
- There is still active construction/remodeling happening at 325 Old Omega Rd. Apts. until further notice.
- Work orders are handled on a case-by-case basis, with emergencies answered first, then any issues that may cause future problems handled. If you have an emergency after normal business hours, remember to press 5 to be transferred to the maintenance ON-CALL Person. Please leave your name, phone number, and the nature of your call.
- Tenants (Head of Households) are responsible for all property damage to the units and ruts from parking and driving on grass. Violators will be fined for damage.
- NO PARKING ON THE GRASS. Violators may be towed at the owner's expense.
- NO PARKING OR BLOCKING THE ALLEY. Violators may be towed at the owner's expense.
- Please return all roll-out garbage containers back to your apartments on the day of trash pickup. Violators may be fined by Tifton Housing Authority.

Property Management News
New Applicant Call-in/New Applicant Orientation: March 11 and March 12 Re-certifications: Dixie, Deas, and Hill Homes
Housekeeping Inspections: Housekeeping inspections will now be done on a monthly basis. Every resident should have received a letter with the following information:
- 1st week- Peterson & OOR
- 2nd week- Maple, Elderly Village, Bellview
- 3rd week- Hill Homes, Dixie Ave, Omega, Deas
- Please be sure that your screen door is unlocked during your week of inspection. Locked screen doors/the inability to enter your unit will result in a letter to the housekeeping class.
RENT IS DUE ON THE 1ST & LATE AFTER THE 7TH FOR PUBLIC HOUSING.
RENT IS DUE ON THE 1ST & LATE AFTER THE 5TH FOR DEAS HOMES.If for any reason you need a payment arrangement, you must come to the office to sign an agreement before the due date. If you are not current on your rent (2 months behind), a payment agreement will not be made. You are at risk of being sent to magistrate court.
The revised Admissions Continued Occupancy Plan (ACOP) is now available to read at the rent desk.

Black/Women's History in GA
Maynard Jackson - Atlanta's first African American mayor (1974-1982), who modernized the city's infrastructure and increased Black political representation.
Stacey Abrams - Political activist and lawyer, known for her work in voter rights advocacy and expanding voting access in Georgia.
Shirley Franklin - Atlanta's first African American female mayor, focused on improving schools, public safety, and revitalizing downtown.
These women have left an indelible mark on Georgia's history and continue to inspire change.
