Opening Doors - Changing Lives
This year, THA kicked off the holiday season with the delightful "Let's Make a Snow Globe" activity, hosted by the Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Designed for children ages 4-10, the event brought holiday cheer through cookie decorating, coloring activities, and the creation of beautiful Christmas snow globes.
Thank you to everyone who made this event such a memorable start to the holiday season! Looking ahead, we invite all residents to join in the Tifton community holiday festivities, including the upcoming holiday parade and other seasonal events. These gatherings are a wonderful way to celebrate the season and connect with our neighbors.

Elderly Village Community Festivities
Our Elderly Village Community kicked off the holiday season with a heartwarming Thanksgiving BINGO event that brought residents together for fun, food, and fellowship. The celebration featured a delicious Thanksgiving feast, complete with all the traditional fixings, creating a festive atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. After the meal, residents engaged in multiple rounds of BINGO, where they competed for exciting prizes, adding a layer of excitement to the day. The event not only spread holiday cheer but also fostered a sense of community and connection among participants.
Looking ahead, the holiday festivities are far from over! THA is thrilled to announce the upcoming Christmas BINGO Dance planned for December. This event will combine the fun of BINGO with the joy of music and dancing, promising an evening full of entertainment and holiday spirit. We look forward to seeing our residents come together once again to celebrate the season and create more wonderful memories. Stay tuned for more details!
Holiday Cooking Safety Tips:
- Stay Attentive: Never leave cooking food unattended, especially when frying or grilling.
- Keep Flammables Away: Keep oven mitts, dish towels, and other flammable items away from the stove.
- Check Your Appliances: Ensure ovens and stovetops are clean and in good working order before use.
- Use Timers: Set timers to keep track of cooking times and avoid overcooking or burning food.

Seniors 60+ are invited to join us for lunch, some fun cards, and a chance to win some awesome prizes! This event is held monthly in our Elderly Village Community.
Maintenance News
- There is still active construction/remodeling happening at 325 Old Omega Rd. Apts. until further notice.
- Work orders are handled on a case-by-case basis, with emergencies answered first, then any issues that may cause future problems handled.
- If you have an emergency after normal business hours, remember to press 5 to be transferred to the maintenance ON-CALL Person. Please leave your name, phone number, and the nature of your call.
- Tenants (Head of Households) are responsible for all property damage to the units and ruts from parking and driving on grass. Violators will be fined for damage.
- NO PARKING ON THE GRASS. Violators may be towed at the owner's expense.
- NO PARKING OR BLOCKING THE ALLEY. Violators may be towed at the owner's expense.
- Please return all roll-out garbage containers back to your apartments on the day of trash pickup. Violators may be fined by Tifton Housing Authority.

New Applicant Call-in/New Applicant Orientation: 12/10 - 12/11
Recertification's: Peterson and Old Omega Rd.
Housekeeping Inspections: Housekeeping inspections will now be done on a monthly basis. Every resident should have received a letter with the following information:
- 1st week- Peterson & OOR
- 2nd week- Maple, Elderly Village, Bellview
- 3rd week- Hill Homes, Dixie Ave, Omega, Deas
- Please be sure that your screen door is unlocked during your week of inspection. Locked screen doors/the inability to enter your unit will result in a letter to the housekeeping class.
RENT IS DUE ON THE 1ST & LATE AFTER THE 7TH FOR PUBLIC HOUSING.
RENT IS DUE ON THE 1ST & LATE AFTER THE 5TH FOR DEAS HOMES.If for any reason you need a payment arrangement, you must come to the office to sign an agreement before the due date. If you are not current on your rent (2 months behind), a payment agreement will not be made. You are at risk of being sent to magistrate court.
The revised Admissions Continued Occupancy Plan (ACOP) is now available to read at the rent desk.

Grinch Punch
Ingredients:
- 2 quarts water
- Kool-Aid mix (green)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can pineapple juice
- 1 can lemonade concentrate
- Sprite
- Ice
- Red sugar crystals (for rimming glasses)
Instructions:
- Pour 2 quarts of water into a 1-gallon pitcher or punch bowl.
- Add Kool-Aid mix and sugar; stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add pineapple juice and lemonade concentrate; mix well.
- Rim glasses with water and red sugar crystals. Just before serving, add Sprite and ice. Serve and enjoy!
