Trash Disposal Policy

Per Ryland Environmental, the company contracted with by the City of Tifton, all trash must be bagged and tied before being placed in trash bins.  Trash cannot be overloaded in your bin (i.e., the lid must be able to close) and no trash should be left on the ground by your bin. 

If you regularly have more trash than will fit in one bin, call the City of Tifton Customer Service at 229.382.6231 and request a second bin.  All bins shall be pulled back to your apartment and placed in the back of your unit within 24 hours of your trash pickup.

The Tifton Housing Authority will pick up large items not allowed in trash bins (e.g., furniture, washers and dryers, mattresses, etc.) each Friday.  Those items may be placed by the road no sooner than Thursdays at 12:00 p.m.  Placing such items by the road earlier than Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. shall constitute a violation of this policy and will result in a $25.00 fine.
